The Awards will be presented at the SES Annual Conference, March 19-21, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

The SES awards program offers a unique opportunity to honor standards professionals for their outstanding contributions to standardization and conformity assessment or service to the SES. Click the link for an award listed below to view more details including nomination instructions .

Leo B. Moore Award

For highest achievement, extraordinary contribution, and distinguished service in the field of standardization, and its professional advancement through original research and writing, creative application and development, or professional and public service. Any individual is eligible.

SES Distinguished Service Award
 The Award is authorized by the Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of the Awards Committee, to recognize noteworthy contribution or service to the growth and development of SES. Must be an SES member in good standing to be eligible for the award.

Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award 
  For noteworthy contribution or service to the growth and development of SES. Only individuals who are current members of SES are eligible.
   
Fellow
 For professional distinction in, and special contribution to, the field of standardization. Only individuals who have been members of SES for the past ten (10) years are eligible. Must be an SES member in good standing to be eligible. 

SES Emerging Professional Award
  This award is authorized by the Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of the Awards Committee, to recognize dedication to the profession and emerging leadership qualities in the field as perceived by his/her peers, through:
  • Article authorships, presentations, and/or panel participation promoting good standardization practices; and
  • Promotion of the standards profession by creating awareness and supporting professional certification.

This award may be presented on an annual basis.  Only individuals who have been a standards professional for five (5) years or less, and are current members of SES in good standing are eligible for nomination.
