SES Annual Conference Call For Proposals

We invite you to submit proposals for the 2022 Annual Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, August 3-5. This conference includes standardization professionals from across the globe with a forward-thinking program on  the most-cutting edge topics in standards and conformity assessment. Speaking at an SES conference is an honor, and the conference planning committee carefully considers all proposals to select the best for this year's conference. Please see below for more information.

Session Formats

Submit proposals for presentations or ideas for sessions, workshops, case studies, etc.

Case Studies

Leverage your experience and professional accomplishments to share your knowledge and lessons learned with other standardization professionals in 15-minutes.

Flash Talks

Have an idea or topic that you think would benefit from a TedTalk style 7-12 minute long format? These quick presentations center on a specific idea or topic.

Education Sessions

Explore a topic or idea with a group of subject matter experts in an interactive 30-45 minute period, including Q&A. Session formats may include fireside chats, panel presentations, etc.

Workshops

This interactive structure is a great way to engage attendees in a hands-on learning experience. Share a skill or nugget of information with standardization professionals in 25 - 30 minutes.

Educational Courses

Engage with attendees in an interactive, engaging, and practical half-day or full-day course. We are looking for the tangible takeaways attendees obtain when attending.

Considerations

  • Organization and Presenter Limits: To maximize the overall number of views expressed during the conference, the Planning Committee will continue the practice to limit presenters per organization for the conference.
  • Proposal Selection: More than 75 proposals are regularly received for consideration for each conference, so please understand that selecting panels is a difficult and highly selective process. Preference in selection will be given to proposals that are made by SES members and focus on advanced knowledge of a topic.
  • All proposals must be submitted by Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:59 pm PT for consideration. The Conference Planning Committee will review all submissions and notify each presenter of the status mid-spring 2022. If you have any questions, please contact us at admin@ses-standards.org
Additional Note:

Presenters are eligible for a discounted conference registration.

Benefits for Attendees

You should attend the 71st Annual SES Conference if you:

  • work for a government agency applying management and standardization techniques
