About the Webinar:

Mapping terminologies to one another increases knowledge transfer, search precision and satisfaction, as well as search across dispersed databases. This presentation will define terminology mapping, identify mapping standards, methods and tools, highlight sources for terminology mining, and show examples of mapping in practice.

About the Speaker:

Ashleigh N. Faith, MLIS, CRM, teaches Advanced Semantics and Ontology at the University of Pittsburgh. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh.

Ashleigh has worked on terminologies with Deere, NASA, NATO, SAE International, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Transportation Research Board, among others. Her primary research is focused on ontologies, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), taxonomy, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
