SES Standards Forward Roundtable Series: Innovating Processes, Tools, and Collaboration in a Changing Landscape April 2026 Standards development is evolving rapidly driven by new technologies, shifting stakeholder expectations, and increasing demands for speed, transparency, and global alignment. Standards Forward is a multi‑session virtual event series designed for standards development organizations, government standards professionals, and industry participants who want to strengthen their processes, modernize their tools, and elevate their impact in consensus-driven environments. Through a mix of member roundtables and expert-led sessions, this series explores how AI is reshaping standards work, how organizations can streamline development processes, and how individuals can increase their influence and effectiveness in collaborative settings. Session 1: Member Roundtable: Peer Benchmarking and Practical Insights for Modern Workflows This member‑exclusive roundtable opens the series with a deep dive into how standards development organizations actually work. Participants will share their processes in advance, enabling a rich benchmarking conversation that highlights similarities, differences, and opportunities for improvement across the community. During the session, members will discuss workflow challenges and share practical strategies for improving efficiency. The conversation will also explore emerging AI practices: what’s appropriate, what to avoid, and how organizations are navigating licensing and derivative‑work considerations. This free event is open to SES Members only. If you would like to register for the full SES Standards Forward Series (Sessions 2-5), please visit the event website.
