The free-of-charge Mobile App will host complimentary content including a summary of SES activities, the SES Annual Conference Program, and the SES monthly member e-newsletter. Additionally, the Mobile App will have access to the members-only portion of the SES website providing seamless access to SES’ Journal Standards Engineering, and other member content.  All this content can be read online or offline on the mobile device app.

Standards Engineering has been available digitally to SES Members and subscribers since 2013 via the SES Website. The Mobile App represents a new stage of delivery for Standards Engineering that will allow members who use the Mobile App to have the Journal ‘pushed’ to them once it has been published. Additionally, the SES Publications Committee, responsible for the oversight of Standards Engineering, will be working in the coming months to improve the digital offerings associated with the Journal.

As SES continues to move into the digital age, the Society will explore other content to be delivered via the Mobile App, including the SES Standards (ANSI/SES 1:2013 – Recommended Practice for Designation and Organization of Standards, SES 2:2011 – Model Procedure for the Development of Standards, and SES 3:2016 – Recommended Practice for Joint Standards Development) and other material distributed by the Society.

The Mobile App will also afford the standards community with the opportunity to have a “True Responsive Ad” on the SES Mobile App. These ads will allow companies the opportunity to present their logo or ad dynamically. The Ads will have a URL click through of the advertiser’s choice and will provide excellent exposure to the products and services advertised.
