Carrie Schmaus is a ME (marine energy) Technology Manager at the Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and a 2018 Young Professional Leader at the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Before spending two and a half years with WPTO as a NOAA Knauss Marine Science and Policy Fellow and ORISE Fellow from 2018-2020, she worked as a research fellow at the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships, a DC-based non-profit that supports successful public-private partnership models. Her master's is from the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs at the University of Washington, and she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wittenberg University with a degree in biology. |

Carolyn Hull is the DICOM General Secretary. She previously served as MITA’s Manager of Global Regulatory Standards, and was chosen to represent the US National Committee (USNC) as a Young Professional at the 2019 ITC Shanghai meeting. Hull previously worked at the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions and has served in multiple roles in the federal government: as a Scheduler for a Member of Congress, covering health, education, and telecommunications issues, as a Senior Analyst in the Obama White House. She also worked at the Pan American Health Organization. Hull graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Psychology and Spanish and holds a Master of Health Administration and the Certificate of Healthcare Corporate Compliance from the George Washington University and holds the Associate Standards Certification from SES. |
