SES Goes to Watergate
The National Capital Area Section of SES enjoyed a delightful Happy Hour Event on Thursday 25 July at The Top of the Gate, the rooftop bar at the Watergate Hotel. The views overlooking Georgetown, Rosslyn, and Roosevelt Island were delightful, not to mention a scenic sunset over the Potomac. Even though no one broke into any offices and no one was impeached or indicted, it was one of the most memorable evenings ever at that august establishment. With delightful drinks, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, and the professional and humorous banter which all standards professionals excel at, the evening was a true delight! (Fun Fact: Why should no one be surprised that Richard Milhous Nixon had his undoing start there? Simple: Every millhouse must have its watergate!)
We hope to continue building professional relationships, raising awareness about standards, and providing a venue for all to come and relax with friends.
