About the Webinar:

Recent trends in standards development indicate an increase in efforts where two or more organizations enter into an agreement for the development and publication of a Joint Standard. These Joint Standards may have industrial, commercial, or consumer applications, with use on a national, regional, or international level. The Society for Standards Professionals has recently published a Recommended Practice for Joint Standards Development, SES-3, to provide guidance to interested parties by outlining the key components of a Joint Standards Agreement and a recommended process for managing the development of Joint Standards.

This webinar will present an overview of SES-3 and discuss the key components of a Joint Standards Agreement including scope and purpose, policies, process, dispute resolution, branding and publication, marketing and distribution, and maintenance. The webinar will be presented by two members of the SES Standards Committee who worked on the development of SES-3, which was released on May 31, 2016.

LEVEL:  Intermediate
