Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award
The SES/CSA Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award was established in 2001 to recognize an SES member who has made an outstanding contribution to SES. The Award consists of a professionally mounted Citation, and is presented at the SES Annual Conference.
This Award is presented by invitation of the Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of the Awards Committee, to recognize noteworthy contribution or service to the growth and development of SES, through:
- Exceptional achievement as an SES Officer, or,
- Exceptional contribution to SES by any member.
The Award is presented on an annual basis.
Only individuals who are current members of SES are eligible for nomination.
2015 SES/CSA Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award Recipient:
Recipient: Ashley DeGiacomo, Vice President of Sales, The Comm Group
Ashley has worked in the standards arena with SDOs, SSOs, and Consortia for 10 years. She has extensive business development, and leadership experience with a genuine interest in standardization, standards development processes and governance. Her public speaking experience is wide‐ranging, including presentations and trainings on standards education and training materials for standards professionals.
Ashley has been an active member of SES ‐ The Society for Standards Professionals – since 2008. She serves in many volunteer roles for SES including: member of the financial audit committee, secretary of the publications committee, and member of the education committee. She additionally served for four years on the Board as Education Council Director, overseeing organizational strategy for SES' educational products and services. Ashley is also a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is an active member of the ANSI Committee on Education.
Ashley's experience includes over 10 years of client service and sales in the high‐tech field. Currently, she holds the role of Vice President of Sales with The Comm Group, an organization with three arms, one of those specializing in standards and copyright education.
