National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act (NTTAA) 10th Anniversary  - from March 2006

In recognition of the NTTAA’s 10th anniversary since being signed into law in March 1996, SES has published a booklet containing examples from over 30 standards developing organizations, federal agencies, and companies to illustrate the positive impact of the NTTAA so far.  The NTTAA requires that all federal agencies use standards developed by voluntary consensus standards bodies instead of government-unique standards wherever possible. But perhaps even more importantly, the act included provisions that encouraged federal agencies to partner with the private sector in the development of standards, which not only helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government, but strengthens the US position in the global marketplace.  Click here to view a copy of the Booklet (4.88 mb).  Paper copies of this publication may be purchased by utilizing the online store.
